In Ashtanga, right after triangle pose, we inhale turn to the back of our mat and set up for the first revolved pose – Parivrtta Trikonasana. Exhale lengthen your spine and spiral your torso to the right as the hips remain square. Traditionally, your hand is on the outside of your front right foot and you lift your right arm straight up and gaze at your thumb. However, the most important part of an asana is the breath so if you find you cannot breathe deeply in the full posture, try a block on the outside of your foot or place your hand inside your foot to assist you and BREATHE!
